Corrosion testing under the coating of weather-resistant steel "COR-TEN"
Compared to coating materials, weather-resistant steel is on average 5 times superior to copper-containing steel and 70 times superior to ordinary steel.
We present the results of a comparative test on the undercoating corrosion rate after one year of exposure for "COR-TEN," ordinary carbon steel, and 0.2% copper-containing steel that were painted. In this case, the surface treatment was phosphoric acid treatment, the primer used was a primer, and the topcoat was a urea alkyd paint. Additionally, the left photo shows the condition after 8 months of exposure, with a scratch made diagonally to break the coating on the same test piece. As a result, our product excelled in all tests, showing an average of 5 times better performance than copper-containing steel and 70 times better than ordinary steel when compared to the coating materials. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
